The Relational Developmental Approach
I trained in Family Systems Therapy and Applied Behavioural Science. After having children I studied the relational developmental approach, as articulated by Dr. Gordon Neufeld. This transformed my personal and professional life, making sense of the human experience in a profoundly insightful way. I was fortunate to do a 2 year internship with Dr. Neufeld and then joined the faculty for the Neufeld Institute. With this theoretical foundation, I have integrated many different modalities, including Internal Family Systems and various body-centered approaches, including Somatic Experiencing and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
“Always put the relationship first and be creative with everything else.” Dr. Gordon Neufeld
